Stillpoint's Background and Philosophy

The bed & breakfast is the result of a combined vision to create a resting place, a place of renewal. You are a guest in the home of Carol Booth.

Your comfort will be cared for by Ailsa Barrow. The Barrow family, (Ailsa, her husband Brian and mother, Jane) live across the road at 'Norfolk Lodge'. Carol and Ailsa work in a business partnership, melding their different styles and talents in a joint venture which has created the unique ambience of Stillpoint. Brian is our handyman. Jane often answers the phone for us.

We have created a neighbourly community where the keynotes are harmony, respect, caring and a tolerance of our individual diversities. We are proud that these principles underpin our Bed & Breakfast business. Feedback indicates to us, that our co-operative business structure has contributed to the special quality of holiday experience which is encountered at Stillpoint.
